I ate quite a bit of food at the end of this fast, in a very short amount of time. I wonder if that is typical — overeating at the end of a longer fast? I didn’t realize how hungry I was until I took that first bite, and then food craving kicked in big time. So now I’m thinking the next time I do 48 hrs., I’ll try to limit the amount of food when the fasts ends. Seems counterproductive to do a long fast, and then eat an enormous number of calories when it ends.
Modern Slave Trade
They estimate that 700,000 people are trafficked every year, and about half are children, with adolescent girls being a primary target. Only about 1 percent are caught in this illegal trade. An open-borders mentality among politicians facilitates this crime, a crime against humanity.
A Little Bit Crazy
How to make yourself a little bit crazy? Just read the headlines in the American online newsie sites. How to remain calm and sane? Don’t read them.
Leaving
Watch the rich start leaving the country when the tax hikes begin. Same thing happened in France for the last 15 years. The super rich vote with their feet.
Arizona
The investigation into fraudulent voting in our recent presidential election is the story the liberal media is diligently trying to avoid. I guess fraudulent elections isn’t important to them.
Bears
Selling puts works nicely in a bull market, but if you have a true bear market, like the cruel year 2002, which doesn’t get much mention (they always comment rather on the precipitous drop in 2000 instead), selling calls would be best and selling puts would be disastrous. 2002 is a very instructive year for those who remember it, an experience that no one under the age of 40 has gone through.
Benford’s Law
They should apply Benford’s Law to the various states that had questionable voter counts in last year’s presidential election. Let’s see if Arizona really did vote for a Democrat.
Lame
More lame support for Israel by the Democrats. What do you expect from a party that wins election through fraud? Definitely not good government. We are in for a rough ride in the next 4 years. Lunatic policies and uncontrolled spending full of pure waste. In the 60s and 70s, this was the party of outstanding liberals who endorsed freedom of speech and other commendable values. Now it’s the party of thoughtless rabble rousers who really don’t give a shit for the country and its history…who actually want to see the country torn down.
Illegitimate?
Lots of people consider the government to be illegitimate based on a fraudulent presidential election. I’m one of them.
Bubbles
The Federal Reserve put is well entrenched. Their mandates used to be to hold inflation in check and to promote high employment. They are still interested in promoting high employment, but they want now to CAUSE inflation, and the number one priority in the last decade and counting is to see to it that the stock market keeps going higher and never fails. They are the true custodians of the stock market. Since they have an unlimited balance sheet, they think they are in control of things. We shall see. The skeptics think instead they are just making a dangerous bubble bigger and bigger.
