Processed food is poison is an exaggeration, but not by much. The thought that occurs to me though is that the food industry could actually make very healthy processed foods but they don’t, and I’m not sure why because I would think there would now be a real market for healthy processed foods as more and more of the public have become conscious about what is healthy for them and what isn’t. So one would think a processed food with healthy ingredients without crazy additives would be a real seller.

Food Order
An interesting question is whether there is any advantage in eating the macronutrients — fat, carbs, protein — in any sequence?
There is a lot of evidence that having fat in one’s meal aids the digestion of various vitamins and minerals. Without the presence of fat, these nutrients are digested, but not as well as they would have been had there been some fat available.
Fat also has no impact at all on insulin, and if you eat a meal that includes some fat, the carbs, which will spike insulin, will spike it much less severely because of the presence of fat. You do want to lower insulin spikes as much as possible.
There is also a good deal of evidence that protein is very satiating, and also slows down digestion because the protein compounds require a lot of work by digestive enzymes to break them down, which is a good thing.
So on balance, eating fat/protein at the start of a meal would appear to be the best strategy, and nothing fills that bill better than a handful of mixed nuts — high in both fat and protein. Perhaps you should start all your major meals with a source of fat/protein like nuts to improve your digestion.
Dangerous Foods
What you have to realize is that about 85% of what you find in your local supermarket, even the better supermarkets, is processed foods dangerous to your health. Yes, actually dangerous. And extremely low in real nutrients.
You need to wean yourself off of eating this garbage, and move toward eating real food, which of course is high in nutrients. Start of think of the supermarket as a landmine where you have to step very carefully because that is what it is relative to your health — a landmine.
When you make this sharp change in your diet, you will feel much better and have much more energy because the mitochondria in your cells will be producing much more ATP, which is very energizing. Your overall health will improve significantly in a variety of ways.

Improving Health
If you want to quantumly improve your health, just stop eating all processed foods.
Pretty simple. If it didn’t actually grow out of the ground, don’t eat it. If it came in a box, don’t eat it. If it has more ingredients than one, don’t eat it.
Protein
Most people eat too much protein. A fairly large percentage of the population eats twice as much as necessary.
The food industry is constantly pushing extra protein in their processed foods, but this is quite unnecessary for the majority of people. And excessive protein in one’s diet can have very serious health consequences, including kidney stones.
Don’t believe the hype about protein from the food industry. More nonsense.
“Food” Poison
The government allows the food industry to do whatever it wants. Reason why we get so many really crazy non-food ingredients in processed foods.
You are really taking your life in your hand if you eat processed foods.

People don’t realize how decisive food is in terms of promoting either stellar health or horrible disease.
If you are very selective in giving your body truly superior nutrition, chances are that you will experience great health, high energy, and a long life.
On the other hand, if you have a diet with poor nutrition, particularly if your diet includes a high percentage of processed foods with all their crazy ingredients that the body doesn’t know how to digest and many of which are carcinogenic, chances are you are opening the door to a wide spectrum of diseases and a much shorter life span.
All this because of your food choices. So take food choices more seriously. They matter.
