Clueless
We have a government now in Washington that is completely clueless, and of course the media adores it. Immigration chaos dead ahead. America for non-Americans is the policy. “Free” money for everyone, and don’t worry about the cost because it’s free. Peril to the country has become way over the top. We are becoming the banana republic that was always so derided — existing based on printing more money out of thin air. When all this comes apart, they will then say how could you have let this happen? Duh.
Ancient Rome All Over Again
What happened in the Roman Empire was that, at a certain point, rich land owners bought out small farmers throughout Italy, and these ex-farmers moved to Rome to become the first urban proletariat that the Roman state had to support with the grain dole. In effect, you had a huge number of people who were no longer able to support themselves.
We are now witnessing the modern version of this with the US government providing everyone who makes less than 75k with “free” money. Unfortunately, nothing is really free. There will be consequences.
More “Liberal” Nonsense
What do you do if you really dislike the direction the new “liberals” are taking the country, and get mad every time you read any headline in the media? You really just start to turn away from it all, just totally ignore the bigger picture. You can’t do anything about it yourself anyway, so what’s the point in allowing it to make you crazy? Apathy takes over. The more aggressive response would be to turn up stakes and go and live somewhere other than the US, but that means you have no more subsidized healthcare if under Medicare.
Asinine
The Dems do something asinine, then call it an achievement, and the liberal press applauds. That’s the new world order we have now.
Border With Mexico
Biden’s immigration “policy” has created an insane situation with our border with Mexico, a situation that the Trump administration was finally trying to get a handle on after decades of ignoring the growing illegal-alien problem that no politician had the guts to tackle. Now things will go from bad to much worse with this nutty open-borders concept pushed by our very foolish president. The US is definitely in decline. It’s just going to get worse from here. The lunatics are in charge.
Comparing Trump to Biden, would you rather have an egomaniac or a fool in charge of the country? I go with the egomaniac. But we are about to see what a fool can do to us.
US
US is becoming a country I don’t even recognize and clearly don’t agree with. Is it time to consider moving somewhere else? Would that somewhere else be better?
Hangover Comin’
An arguably already broke federal government goes on an out-of-control spending binge with this 1.9T giveaway, with all kinds of political payola stuffed in. This will not end well.
After the initial buzz from all that “free” money, there’s going to be a terrible hangover. Someone has to pay for all this. That someone is YOU. Like the joke about the people playing poker — if you don’t know who the sucker at the table is, that sucker is you.

I’m not at all a fan of Governor Cuomo, but I have to say that the way he is now being roasted for unwanted advances toward women show just how puritanical the country remains relative to men in office and their libidos. Even the slightest indiscretion toward women is considered a heinous crime where the male politician should be roasted at the stake. This issue hangs like the sword of Damocles over the exposed neck of every American male politician, and they all know it. But it is not the same for women politicians — another “inequality”.
One can only contrast this with the way the French view their male politician’s indiscretions — with amusement.
