I am a voracious reader and also enjoy writing. I often have a very different point of view than the popular one. I do see value in debate, and thought it might add to the public debate on controversial issues if I were to express my contrarian opinions. I also started keeping my poems recently (I've written little pieces my whole adult life but never kept any); and I've been a photographer now for over 25 years. So I will be adding an occasional poem and hopefully interesting photograph to the blog along the way, just to spice things up.
Nothing Good
Nothing good about Biden’s mismanagement of immigration with our border with Mexican and their incredibly naive attempt to embrace Iran again.
Plus this initiative to do something about our crumbling infrastructure, which is long overdue, has all kinds of pork and liberal nonsense packed in with it — an incredibly expensive bill at a time when the government is already loaded with massive debt. At some point, this kind of extraordinary government debt will actually mean something and come back and bite is in the you-know-where.
But this is the kind of “governing” you get from Democrats. The lunatics are now in charge.
What Are Your Thoughts?
What are your thoughts? Not what are you thinking now, but what are your thoughts literally? I don’t think a thought in the mind is a word or words, although after the fact we can shape them into words to express them, but when you have them, they are these very abstract electrical impulses in the brain, it seems to me. So. in truth, there is an air of mystery about what human thought really is. Not at all clear what a thought produced by a human brain actually is.
Back to Veganism
If you want to go back to being a vegan or want to try it for the first time, start by going meatless just 2 days a week, but pick specific days, like all Mondays and Thursdays. And after you’ve done that a while, expand to 4 days a week, etc.
There is no question that vegans live the longest — by far — and that a diet that includes meat, particularly one with heavy meat consumption, is much more correlated with both heart disease and cancer, which has been known now for decades, ever since the seminal China Study. If you want to live long and without the two biggest risks to your health (heart disease and cancer), then veganism is a no brainer…if you can manage to do it.
Liberal Media
No one believes the liberal media anymore. It’s not news but propaganda they deal in. In the 60s and 70s, the media had substantial credibility. That’s totally gone now…gone the illusion of even-handed and unbiased reporting, which seems like the height of foolish naivete. The Washington Post and New York Times are not worth one’s time.
Dems
The world of unintended consequences and pure politics just to gain votes. The lunatics are in charge now.
Tulips and Bitcoins
One wonders whether this mania with Bitcoins is exactly like the Dutch tulip bubble of the 1600s?

Mexican Border Mess
Clueless
We have a government now in Washington that is completely clueless, and of course the media adores it. Immigration chaos dead ahead. America for non-Americans is the policy. “Free” money for everyone, and don’t worry about the cost because it’s free. Peril to the country has become way over the top. We are becoming the banana republic that was always so derided — existing based on printing more money out of thin air. When all this comes apart, they will then say how could you have let this happen? Duh.
